It's so locked down on KitKat 4.4 that with developer options enabled, only stats and revoking USB debugging are enabled. Cannot enable USB debugging. Why root? 1. Just because. 2. I want to see if I can stop it doing a factory wipe every time it's turned off or anything makes it reboot or the reset hole has to be poked.
I've tried so many 'universal' or 'guaranteed to work' rooting utilities, I forget which all ones they are. They've all failed to crack it.
